I am a qualified medical herbalist, passing with merit, and member of The National Institute of Medical Herbalists (NIMH), the oldest professional herbal body in the world.

I qualified as a medical herbalist in 2025, alongside working as a primary school teacher. In my herbal consultations I use what I have learnt from my six years of study and from clinical practice, and some of the skills I have learnt from 30 years of teaching and communicating with children and parents. I tell my school children my most important job is to keep them safe and happy, and then to help them learn, grow and have fun. I think my herbal consultations with patients are led by the same principles, with the additional aim of helping my patients feel better.

I offer relaxed, warm and friendly consultations in person and online, giving you time to tell your health story and genuinely be heard, with gentle questioning to help us better understand your current health concerns. By talking through your health events across your life time and making connections between them, we can gain a closer understanding of the root causes of your current condition and together create an effective treatment plan.

This is likely to include manageable dietary and lifestyle suggestions and a herbal prescription tailored to your needs. This may be a blended tea, a mix of tinctures, an oil or a cream, or a combination. I make prescriptions in my beautiful dispensary with love and positive intentions. Some of the tinctures and oils I use have been made by me using herbs from my garden and locally. I will also support you if you wish to resource these yourself.

I started making herbal tinctures, teas, syrups, creams and oils for friends and family in 2016 and set up my Etsy and eBay shops, which I continue to run. I became a medical herbalist so I could better help my friends, family and customers, who often asked for advice, and because the more I learnt about herbal medicine and the power of plants to help heal us, the more fascinated I became, a fascination that continually deepens.

I am currently offering online consultations and will also be offering face to face ones later this summer, once I have finished the decorating!

An initial consultation lasts between 1 and 1 1/2 hours 20 and follow-up appointments last roughly 30 minutes.

Follow-up appointments £30

Custom-made tincture mix £12/105ml (usually a week's worth)

Teas, creams, balms and oils are also available.
